Nordstrom appoints new director
US department store chain Nordstrom has appointed Tanya Domier, the chief executive of Advantage Sales & Marketing, to its board of directors.
The appointment brings the company’s total number of directors to 14 and the number of independent directors to 11.
Having joined ASM in 1990, Domier was named chief executive in January 2013 after serving as president and chief operating officer from 2010 to 2013.
Enrique Hernandez, Jr., chairman of the board of directors for Nordstrom, said: “Tanya brings a successful track record leading a customer-driven business and we are delighted to add her experience to our talented and diverse board of directors.
“We are confident Tanya’s focus on the customer makes her a terrific addition to our team and her contributions will help us achieve our long-term goals and optimise shareholder returns.”
