Nisa refreshes its board with new directors
Nisa has announced the appointment of three new member directors to its board.
The appointments were made at the symbol group’s annual general meeting last week where eight candidates were nominated for election for the three member places which were available on the board.
Following the AGM, Raza Rehman, Sanjeev Vadhera and Saqib Ghafoor were appointed to fill the positions.
Christopher Baker, independent non-executive chairman, said: “We were impressed with the high quality of candidates that were nominated for the member director vacancies on the board and I am very pleased to welcome Raza Rehman, Sanjeev Vadhera and Saqib Ghafoor to their new positions. The company is at a pivotal stage of its development into a retail focussed organisation and these directors will be influential in the future strategy of the business.”
Never Miss a Retail Update!This year, Christopher Baker, non-executive director, Peter Hartley, non-executive director, Gillian Wilmot, non-executive director, Amanda Jones, Nisa chief operating officer and Simon Webster, Nisa finance director were all required to retire by rotation and were all reappointed to their position on the board.
The reappointed independent non-executive directors, executive directors and the newly appointed member directors will join the existing board members who include Harris Aslam, Ian Hunt, Stephen Jempson, Vimal Odedra, Mark Proudfoot, Jas Sunner and Nisa executive Neil Turton.
Baker added: “Nisa would also like to thank Peter Bellini, Kishor Patel and Sean Ramsden, who all retired this year by rotation, for their invaluable dedication and support to the Nisa board over the years.”
