Nine new retailers sign to Bullring expansion

Bullring Link adds to offer
Bullring is increasing is pre-eminence in the Birmingham retail market with agreements for nine more retailers to Bullring Link, the expansion to the scheme opening at the end of the month.

Taken together with an earlier letting to TK Maxx, The Birmingham Alliance has let 5,510m2 at the 8,910m2 development, and is negotiating leases on further space which will include: two catering operators, two health and beauty retailers, and a further two fashion retailers.
Adjoining the highly acclaimed Bullring scheme, which celebrated its first year of trading last month, Bullring Link will provide twenty new shop units.
Providing direct access through a revitalised mall linking the Debenhams department store within the main Bullring scheme to the east, Bullring Link also establishes a link to The Mall Pallasades and Birmingham’s New Street Station to the west.
In addition to TK Maxx, retailers to have signed up to Bullring Link include: fashion operators Hypnotic and Derrici, footwear operator Shoe Zone, gift retailer Evolution, as well as Newspoint, Card Factory, Flight Centre, Supercuts and sandwich bar Quiznos.
Sheila King, Hammerson’s Director of UK retail leasing responsible for Bullring Link on behalf of The Birmingham Alliance, said: “Despite having started construction on Bullring Link only eight months ago, the development has attracted high levels of interest. Local regional operators have seized the opportunity to be part of a major new scheme and, as a result of Bullring’s resounding success, two existing Bullring retailers are to expand their presence by taking additional outlets in Bullring Link.
“This final phase provides a vital addition to Birmingham’s city centre shopping scene and will make it even easier for shoppers using New Street Station to access a wider range of shopping choice including The Mall Pallasades.”
