Nicole Vanderbilt to leave MyDeco

Nicole Vanderbilt has stood down from her role of CEO at MyDeco just three months after the company relaunched as a direct e-commerce store.

Vanderbilt will remain in post until April when she will be succeeded by Peter Bakker, the current director of e-commerce. It is not known if Vanderbilt has another job to go to.

The interior design website, which is backed by last minute.com founder Brent Hoberman, originally redirected users wanting to buy products featured on the site to third party retailers. However, the company relaunched as a direct e-commerce store in November although it still features some third party retailers in its offering via mydecomarketplace.com.

It has been reported that Hoberman will take a more direct role in the running of the company following Vanderbilt’s departure.
