Net-a-Porter hires Sarah Rutson as VP for global buying
Luxury online fashion retailer Net-a-Porter has appointed Sarah Rutson as vice president of global buying .
Previously fashion director at the Lane Crawford department store in Hong Kong, Rutson will be based at Net-a-Porter’s New York office and will report to the company’s president Alison Loehnis. She will take up her new role in January.
“As we look to further penetrate our core markets and grow our global customer base, our buy will remain a key differentiator,” said Loehnis to WWD. “With her years of experience in the luxury fashion business in both Europe and Asia, Sarah is uniquely positioned to lead our global buying team. An area of focus will be on expanding the designers and brands we stock to offer our customer everything she could need.”
