Neiman Marcus to open first store in Manhattan
Luxury US department store Neiman Marcus has announced plans to open its first store in New York’s Manhattan.
The move forms part of the group’s expansion in the New York area which includes a multi-million dollar modernization of Bergdorf Goodman, a Neiman Marcus store on Long Island, and the launch of a Last Call Studio Store in Brooklyn.
The 250,000 square foot multi-level Neiman Marcus store is scheduled to open in 2018 and will be situated on Manhattan’s flourishing west side at Hudson Yards. Customers will have multiple access points throughout the complex including a dedicated entrance on 10th Avenue.
The store will benefit from sweeping views over the new public plaza and meeting place being designed by Thomas Heatherwick and Thomas Woltz, as well as the Culture Shed which will be home to New York Fashion Week.

There are also plans to open a Neiman Marcus full line store in Long Island in February 2016. The group’s current New York store presence includes two Bergdorf Goodman stores situated at Fifth Avenue and 58th Street.
