N Brown hires new chief financial officer
N Brown Group has appointed Dominic Appleton as chief financial officer designate.
Due to join the business on 1 March, he will succeed Rachel Izzard as chief financial officer when she leaves the business at the end of May.
In a statement, N Brown said Izzard will be working with its board and group chief executive Steve Johnson to ensure an orderly handover to Appleton.
Until June last year, he was group finance director at The Very Group where he spent a total of 10 years. He has also previously held chief financial officer roles at online bathroom retailer Victoria Plum and footwear brand Hotter Shoes.
Johnson said: “We are delighted to welcome Dominic to the N Brown team. His considerable expertise and experience gained in consumer businesses, particularly in digital retail and financial services, will make him a key addition to the executive management team.”
Appleton added: “I’m excited to be joining Steve and the N Brown team next month. I have admired N Brown for some time for their inclusive vision and I’m very much looking forward to supporting the strategic transformation journey of this great business.”
N Brown Group’s portfolio of retail brands includes JD Williams, Simply Be and Jacamo.
