My Wardrobe appoints new global CEO

Online luxury fashion retailer My Wardrobe has appointed former Harrods Direct director David Worby as its global chief executive officer.

In what is a new role for the company, Worby will be responsible for overseeing the international expansion of the brand.

MyWardrobe founder Sarah Curran, who is currently CEO, will become the company’s chief creative officer working alongside Worby on consumer-facing aspects of the business.

“We are all incredibly excited about David’s appointment,” said Curran. “It is an exciting time for the business and I look forward to working with him to build the brand, which I launched in 2006, into a global leader in the luxury fashion area. David brings with him a wealth of luxury e-commerce experience and an ability to drive our ambitious plans for international expansion.”

Worby, who prior to joining Harrods held a director level position at Debenhams, will start his new role in July.
