Multi Channel Retail Show to launch in London

New trade exhibition to focus on dynamic sector
September 1 2003
The Multi Channel Retail Show is a new trade exhibition launch in London in February 2004.

The event will, for the first time, offer a forum for the providers of new and emerging technologies in the dynamic sector, as well as an opportunity for retailers to discover the benefits of these technologies in the development of their business.
The event will bring retailers and vendors together under one roof for two days to give the growing industry an annual focal point, and the chance to explore and understand the technologies on display.
Organiser Retail Events will run two of current successful one day conferences alongside the exhibition, with CAN – Digital Media Networks 4 Retailers taking place on February 17 and Customer Centric Retailing on February 18.
Launching the event, and welcoming title sponsor Kingston inmedia, Retail Events sales director Damon Thompson said: “It has been evident to me for some time that there is a big gap in the market for an exhibition that champions new and emerging technologies, and which is reflective of the way that the IT landscape is being shaped in the 21st Century.
“The decision to launch was an easy one for us to make and vindicated by the fact that we have attracted a company like Kingston inmedia to be such a committed participant at the event.”
Also confirmed as supporting the show is Cybersource. Marketing and operations director Ariane Wilkinson said: “We believe this new event will serve to enhance our reputation as the premier source for secure electronic payment and risk management solutions, and are delighted that Retail Events have given the event a multi channel retail focus, as this is clearly a route that needs to be taken by the modern day retailer.”
The exhibition will feature a wide spectrum of suppliers with a high level of expertise, reinforced not only on the exhibition floor but in the free expert briefing sessions available throughout the event, and the two high level conferences.
The Multi Channel Retail Show will be held at the Commonwealth Conference and Exhibition Centre, Kensington, on February 17 and 18 2004.
