M&S extends store opening hours in lead-up to Christmas

Marks & Spencer is extending its opening hours this week in a bid to attract more customers doing last minute Christmas shopping.

The retailer is keeping 242 stores across the UK and Republic of Ireland open until 10pm or later this week, with 23 stores opening until midnight.

It is also opening  98 full line M&S stores on Boxing Day as well as 31 M&S Outlet stores and 43 M&S Simply Food franchise stores in airports, motorway services and railway stations.  All other M&S stores will open on 27 December. M&S stores at BP Connect petrol stations will also be open on Christmas Day.

Steve Rowe, director of retail at Marks & Spencer said: “We know that Christmas can be a hectic time for our customers, so we’re aiming make things as stress-free as possible with longer opening hours and flexible ordering options. Our convenient Shop Your Way service makes it easier than ever to make Christmas a special time for our customers.”
