M&S appoints new international director
In line with plans announced last November to grow its International business, Marks and Spencer plc has appointed Jan Heere as its new Director of International.
Jan is joining Marks & Spencer from Inditex, where he is currently General Manager, Russia. He will report directly into Marks & Spencer’s CEO, Marc Bolland, as a member of the company’s Management Committee.
Marc Bolland, Marks & Spencer Chief Executive said: “We’re delighted to announce that Jan Heere is joining Marks & Spencer as Director of International. Jan’s impressive international experience fits well with the international growth plans we outlined in November.”
Jan Heere said: “International retail is a real opportunity for Marks & Spencer. I am very pleased to be joining at such an exciting time and look forward to getting started.”
