M&S appoints John Lyttle to lead clothing, home and beauty
M&S has appointed John Lyttle as managing director of clothing, home and beauty as it looks to drive the next phase of the division’s transformation.
The former chief executive of Boohoo Group is replacing Richard Price who will be leaving M&S to pursue a portfolio career.
Due to take up his new position on 3 March, Lyttle has also previously worked for nine years as chief operating officer of Primark.
He will spend his first month in stores and the supply chain and will then have a month-long handover with Price who will leave M&S on 30 April.

M&S has also confirmed that Maddy Evans, director of womenswear, is widening her role to include lingerie in a new position of director of M&S Woman.
Meanwhile, David Brittain will join the business at the end of April to succeed Heidi Woodhouse as director of home and beauty.
Machin said: “I am confident that this team will bring the fresh perspective, energy and drive required to up the pace and scale of change in this next phase of transformation across M&S’s clothing, home and beauty business.”
