Mothercare to open in Iraq

Mothercare has announced that it plans to open a store in Iraq. The retailer said it has signed a lease with its franchise partner in the Middle East for a store in Arbil, a city in the north of the country.
Chief executive Ben Gordon said: “Iraq has 30 million people – clearly, it is a country with a lot of potential.”
Mothercare’s international presence already extends to stores in Azerbaijan, Ghana, and Uzbekistan.
