Morrisons appoints first head of clothing
7 March, 2012 | by Retail Bulletin
Morrisons has appointed Tim Bettley, the former managing director of Peacocks, as its first head of clothing as it looks to expand its non-food offering.
Bettley has been appointed to the role of commercial director for clothing and will join the Morrisons board. His initial brief will be to extend the supermarket’s clothing offering to more stores, working with existing clothing partner Peacocks.
Morrisons operates Peacocks stand alone concessions in three stores following a launch last year and has smaller childrenswear concessions in 21 stores.
The supermarket plans to expand the number of clothing concessions this year.
