Moonpig maintains guidance despite difficult trading conditions

Moonpig, the online greeting card and gifting platform, has reiterated its full-year guidance despite difficult trading conditions.

In a statement ahead of its AGM, the retailer said it continues to expect pro forma revenue to grow at a low single-digit percentage rate in its first half which began on 1 May. This will be underpinned by the Moonpig brand which remains in growth.

Moonpig has been encouraged by customers’ appetite for new initiatives such as its Moonpig Plus subscription service in the UK and its Greetz app in the Netherlands. It has also introduced a range of creative card features such as video messages.

For the full financial year, it expects consolidated revenue growth at a mid to high single-digit percentage rate, with all brands returning to growth in the second half.

Meanwhile, adjusted EBITDA margin is expected to remain resilient.
