Monsoon director to quit

Monsoon group finance director John Clark is to leave the fashion retail business after less than a year in the job.
The company, which operates the Monsoon, and Accessorize chains, said Clark has resigned, but will remain until July to ensure a smooth handover period. A search for a replacement is underway .
Clark said: “Monsoon is a great company but its culture is different to what I had expected and therefore I have decided to leave and seek other opportunities. I wish it well in its future development.”
Peter Simon, the Monsoon founder and chairman who recently took the business of the main stock market in favour of an AIM listing, said: “Monsoon has a very distinct and vibrant culture, which may not be compatible with everyone’s approach and style.
“John Clark will be an asset to any organisation he decides to join and we wish him every success for the future.”
