Miniso prepares to open biggest store in the north

Miniso is preparing to open its biggest and “grandest” store in the north of England in Manchester’s Trafford Centre.

Situated on the ground floor near to Boots and John Lewis, the 2,700 square foot space will launch on 5 July.

The shop will be the brand’s 28th  store in the UK and the second in Manchester following a  launch at Manchester Arndale in 2023. The move follows successful openings at other shopping centre locations such as Trinity Leeds, Metrocentre Gateshead, Victoria Centre Nottingham, and Derbion in Derby.

Saad Usman, chief operating officer at Miniso UK, said: “We are incredibly excited to grow our presence in the North West by opening Minis’s largest store in the North of England at the Trafford Centre.

“This is Miniso’s second store in Manchester after the great success of our Arndale location, and we can’t wait to expand even more in the North this year. Trafford Centre has always been a premier shopping hub in the city, and we are thrilled to bring our unique blend of affordable, high-quality products to this iconic shopping destination.”

The opening day will be marked by a special appearance by the PenPen mascot. In addition, the first 400 customers in the store who make a minimum purchase of £5 will receive a complimentary goody bag valued at £25.

Simon Layton, centre director at Trafford Centre, said: “Miniso promises to bring a unique and joyful in-store experience to our visitors, and will be a fantastic addition to our dynamic brand line-up at the Trafford Centre.”
