MINI pops up at Silverburn
MINI has launched a six week pop-up shop at the Silverburn shopping centre in Glasgow.
Opened by local car dealership Harry Fairbairn MINI Giffnock, the 6,000 square foot space is situated adjacent to Wallis and Clarks.
Designed by MINI, the store concept encourages shoppers to engage with the product and includes iPads to enable visitors to ‘build your own MINI’ via a special app. Other in-store activities include an Xbox One and table football.
In addition, the Harry Fairbairn MINI dealership will be running a competition to win a MINI for the weekend with the winner announced on 28 August.
Harry Fairbairn MINI franchise manager, Sandy Edward, said: “Silverburn was the obvious choice for our MINI pop-up shop as it gives us as a dealership the chance to showcase our product to a new consumer and within a creative environment. In addition we had a hugely successful BMW pop-up shop last year at the centre and wanted to create the same buzz for MINI this year.”
The Harry Fairbairn MINI pop-up will run until 1 September.
David Pierotti, Silverburn’s general manager, said: “As a brand, MINI is a great addition to our retail and leisure offer. The opening is also benefiting from the increased footfall following our leisure extension opening last month and also the summer holiday period.”
