Menkind to open concessions in Debenhams stores
Gifts and gadgets retailer Menkind is to open concessions in 23 Debenhams stores at the beginning of next month.
Now that all Menkind stores have reopened following the Covid-19 lockdown, the retailer said the initiative will help it to expand its presence in bricks-and-mortar locations in the run-up to Christmas.
The concessions will be staffed by a total of 50 new recruits and will stock the main Menkind product range including gifts, tech and gadgets. There will also be a special Christmas range with licensed merchandise and a choice of novelty and personalised items.
Fred Prego, director of marketing and ecommerce at Menkind, said: “The past few months have presented a unique challenge for the retail sector, and we are incredibly grateful to our customer base for their continued support. We are most excited to start our partnership with Debenhams, and feel that their long standing retail expertise, brand reputation and widely accessible store network will help us best serve UK customers, as they return to shopping in-store.”
The Debenhams store locations will include Bath, Birmingham, Cardiff, Colchester, Guildford, Manchester, Luton, London Oxford Street, Middlesbrough, Warrington and more.
Andrea Abbis, Debenhams marketing director added: “At Debenhams we are constantly keeping abreast of trends and working to ensure our customers enjoy a unique and varied shopping experience; the new Menkind concessions will complement our existing product offering perfectly, and contribute to providing our customers with an exciting Christmas gifts range. We look forward to a fruitful partnership in the months to come.”
