M&Co opens second Dubai store
Fashion retailer M&Co has opened its second store in Dubai.
The 500 sq m store located in Dubai’s Marina Mall has been opened with M&Co’s franchise partner Liwa Trading Enterprises. M&Co said the store design incorporates the best elements from its ‘City Concept’ stores in Cardiff, Barnstaple and Edinburgh.
The retailer will open a further Middle East outlet in Abu Dhabi this autumn and plans to launch 30 stores with Liwa in the Gulf region over the next 4-5 years. It is also looking for partners in other territories as it looks to build its international franchise business across North Africa, Russia, Eastern Europe, India, China, and South America.
Lee Braid, international franchise manager at M&Co, said: “We are extremely excited to have opened our second store in the UAE. Our partners Liwa Trading Enterprises are continuing to work towards the overall development plan of 30 stores across the GCC, with a number of stores planned across the UAE for the autumn and next spring. We are also planning our first store outside of the UAE to be in Qatar.”
M&Co, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, operates 285 standalone shops in the UK and has a turnover of more than £200 million.
