McArthurGlen unveils new mobile sites

McArthurGlen, the designer outlet operator, has announced the launch of dedicated mobile sites for each of its seven UK outlets.

The sites have been designed and built by Manchester digital agency Code Computerlove. Head of mobile at Code Computerlove, Ste Brennan said: “While many think the app is the holy grail in terms of embracing the potential of smartphone technology, it’s actually imperative that brands get their mobile sites sorted as a primary platform for mobile interaction.”

He continued: “Clients that we’ve already developed mobile sites for are reporting increases in conversion, where delivering a mobile experience for mobile users maximizes this traffic.”

The McArthurGlen Group said it had seen a daily rise in shoppers viewing its sites through Smartphones. Visitors to each of its new mobile sites, can see latest offers within individual stores at the outlet villages, view a brand directory, read the latest news and get outlet information including directions and travel details.

The mobile sites also encourage visitors to sign up to Twitter and Facebook accounts as an additional way to keep in touch.
