Max 99p targets growth as it opens Peterborough store
Max 99p has opened a second store just outside of Peterborough and has announced plans to open a further three shops this year.
The discount retailer, which made its debut with a first store in Chelmsford last December, aims to provide “great brands at great prices” by seling products from brands such as Cadbury, Coca Cola, Nestle and Nivea.
The company is targeting further growth in 2015 with the opening of an additional ten stores.
Dean Saunders of Max 99p said: “We are hoping to have five stores in the Max 99p chain by the end of 2014. From that, we would like to open a further ten stores in 2015. We have plans to grow the brand and are interested in opening up in out of town areas and market towns – rather than city centre locations.”
Never Miss a Retail Update! The Northampton based business is now looking for sites ranging from 3,000 to 6,000 sq ft from the Midlands down to the south of England.
Saunders added: “Discount stores are more popular than ever. The stigma of the discount store is no more, and we see such a wide range of shoppers using them; in fact anyone who is looking for a bargain.”
