Matt Davies to leave Pets at Home

Matt Davies is to stand down as chief executive of Pets at Home after seven years with the company. He will remain in the role until a successor is found.
Davies, who is leaving to pursue other opportunities, said in a statement: “My role at Pets at Home has been hugely rewarding and enjoyable and it has been a great pleasure to manage such a special business and work with such talented and passionate people.
“The calibre of the team leaves me in no doubt that the business will continue to go from strength to strength through the next phase of its growth.”
The statement also said that the company was continuing to trade well.
In the year to 31 March, Pets at Home posted a 10.7% rise in sales to £517.8 million.
