Matalan finance boss goes clubbing
Nick Beighton joins late-night operator Luminar
Matalan head of finance Nick Beighton is changing roles, taking up the position of group finance director with Luminar, the UK’s biggest nightclub operator.
Beighton, who will join Luminar at a date to be agreed, has spent seven years with Matalan Retail in positions including business change and IT director, as well as head of finance. He has been on Matalan’s board since 2002.
At Luminar, he replaces Andrew Burns, whose departure was announced in February.
Keith Hamill, Luminar chairman, said: “We are delighted to welcome Nick onto the board and to the company. He brings a wealth of retail experience and expertise in information technology, which will become increasingly important as our business develops.
“The board also wishes to express its gratitude to Andrew Burns for his considerable contribution and wishes him well for the future.”
