Matalan Direct expands into bedroom furniture

Matalan Direct has expanded its home improvements offering by adding beds and bedroom furniture to its existing bathroom range.

The category addition marks the first expansion for the online-only brand since its launch in July as it looks to become a complete home furnishings destination over the next 12 months.

The new range includes products such as children’s beds, unbranded bed frames, wardrobes, bedside cabinets and chest of drawers, as well as Silentnight bed frames and mattresses.

Shane Quigley, chief executive of Matalan Direct, said: “Following the success of our existing bathrooms range, beds and bedroom furniture is the first of many categories that the business will be on boarding over the coming months. The ultimate goal for Matalan Direct is to be able to offer everything you need to complete your home with just the click of a button.

“This latest addition means our customers can now fully furnish the top floors of their home, and we’ll be looking to complete our downstairs offering over the next few months.”
