Marks & Spencer appoints new non-executive director
Marks & Spencer has appointed Ronan Dunne as a non-executive director.
Due to take up his position on 1 August, Dunne is currently chairman of Six Nations Rugby and is a former chief executive of Verizon Consumer Group. Prior to that, he worked with Telefónica UK, initially as chief financial officer and then as chief executive. He has also previously worked as a director at Tesco Mobile.
M&S chairman Archie Norman said: “I am delighted to welcome Ronan to our board. He is a very strong commercial leader with enormous international experience in the digital telecoms industry, has led businesses through technological and people transformation, and has great financial expertise. He will add relevant expertise and fit in with our ‘engaged Board’ governance style”.
In addition to joining the M&S board, Dunne will sit on the retailer’s audit and nomination committees.
