Majestic reduces minimum order for online customers

Wine retailer Majestic has reduced its minimum online order requirement for free delivery from 12 bottles to six.

The company will deliver an order free to anywhere in mainland UK if customers spend a minimum of £40.

The six bottle cases can be ordered online, by telephone or from one of Majestic’s 181 stores. The company said the change is part of its commitment to multi-channel retail where its customers can enjoy the same level of service in-store and online.

Chief executive Steve Lewis said: “Our minimum purchase was reduced in-store to six bottles in September 2009 and we are delighted that we can now offer this online too.

Never Miss a Retail Update!

“It is an exciting change, I think it’s important that our delivery proposition evolves to suit the needs of online consumers.”
