Majestic appoints new non-exec director
Majestic Wine has appointed Charles Tyrwhitt chief executive, Greg Hodder, as a non-executive director.
Having headed up Charles Tyrwhitt since 2008, Hodder was previously chief executive of Direct Wines for 14 years. His former roles also include senior positions at Smallbone USA, the kitchen & home designer, and Folio Society, a specialist publishing business.
Majestic said Hodder will bring extensive senior management experience in both the retail and wine sectors as it looks to move forward to the next stage of its strategic development. The company is also hoping to benefit from his multi-channel retailing and e-commerce experience.
Rowan Gormley, Majestic chief executive, said: “We are delighted to have secured such an experienced and highly-recommended appointment to the board. Greg’s past experience will provide us with additional high-level strategic and operational support as we grow the business.”
