London Fashion Week to screen shows across the UK

The British Fashion Council has announced plans to screen London Fashion Week shows to more than 35 million people across the country this month.

Working in collaboration with Ocean, the British Fashion Council will be showing London Fashion Week footage on 60 outside screens in the UK from 15 to 23 February.

This means that London Fashion Week will be screened for the first time in Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester and Newcastle as well as around London at Canary Wharf, Holland Park roundabout, Two Towers West and Westfield.

In the run up to London Fashion Week the screens will play footage from last season SS16. During the event itself, the screens will show daily round ups of the fashion shows and presentations.

Caroline Rush chief executive of the British Fashion Council, said: “Collaborating with Ocean Outdoor means that we are able to bring British talent and London Fashion Week to more people than ever before. At a time when many conversations are taking place around connecting fashion weeks with consumers, this is a perfect opportunity to reach both new and existing fashion fans throughout the UK.”

As well as the collaboration with Ocean Outdoor, the British Fashion Council will also run a programme of public events throughout the week.
