London Designer Outlet sees record sales and footfall
London Designer Outlet in Wembley Park has reported a 24% rise in footfall and 25% uplift in like-for-like sales in the calendar year to date.
In addition, research by managing consultancy Ecostra into more than 200 outlets across Europe has placed the Quintain owned centre, which is operated by Realm, in fifth place.
London’s only outlet centre, LDO said it is on track to welcome a record 6.5 million visitors in 2015 with one million visitors expected to flock to the centre in search of a bargain over the Christmas period.
Since the start of 2015, LDO has seen 13 new store openings comprising 15,000 square feet of retail space. Latest new stores include Sony, Levi and the first UK outlet store for Franklin & Marshall.
Sue Shepherd, centre manager at LDO, said: “LDO has seen a record year for both visitors and sales in 2015 as it continues to build momentum in only its second full year of trading. The combination of high street fashion, top brands and a wide range of restaurants and bars is proving a winning combination with guests from north west London and beyond. We are delighted that all our hard work with our tenant colleagues has also been recognised in placing LDO 5th in the whole of Europe in Ecostra’s recent report.”
