LloydsPharmacy launches new marketing campaign

LloydsPharmacy has launched a major national marketing campaign as it looks to raise awareness of the brand as an integrated healthcare provider.

To include TV, radio and national newspaper advertising, The How Are You Today? campaign marks the pharmacy’s first investment in mainstream television advertising in four years.

Developed by LloydsPharmacy’s marketing team, the campaign centres on a pharmacist and a series of customer scenarios to reflect the range of services that are available beyond prescription dispensing.

Nigel Swift, marketing and sales director at LloydsPharmacy, said: “LloydsPharmacy offers so much more than people expect. We are focused on health and wellbeing and can provide advice and support on a range of healthcare issues in our stores and online. This campaign reinforces how far we go beyond just being a dispensing chemist.”

The company’s focus on health and wellbeing is being led by its European Pharmacy Network programme. EPN is a service-led approach to community pharmacy where store teams receive additional training across a range of areas including pain management and skin health. More than 300 of LloydsPharmacy’s 1,500 stores have already gone through the EPN transformation programme and a further 200 are due to become EPN stores this year.

Swift added: “Our research tells us that non-pharmacy users still do not know about the range of services and advice they can access at LloydsPharmacy. The How Are You Today? campaign has been developed to address those gaps in awareness.”

The campaign is expected to run throughout 2015.
