Lloydspharmacy launches graduate recruitment app

Lloydspharmacy has launched a smartphone app to help it engage more fully with pharmacy graduates who are interested joining its pre-registration training programme.

The fully interactive app will offer graduates information on working life at Lloydspharmacy, the format of the pre-registration scheme and access to the application process. In addition, the app will provide details of career progression opportunities, continuing professional development, information on overseas secondments and the benefits available.

Lloydspharmacy said the app’s content will also act as a communication channel, being updated with new information throughout the year. This will include information relevant to students at all levels, including details on the pharmacy’s Summer Vacation Programme, as well as listing new stages of recruitment and training and development.

Barbara Sutherland, head of capability at Lloydspharmacy, explained: “We recognised that more and more students were preferring to access information ‘on the go’ rather than choosing to visit static careers sites or receiving emails from employers.

Never Miss a Retail Update!

“The application is the perfect way for us to engage directly with students to help them understand a little more about the exciting changes afoot in the community pharmacy sector from people working in the field, as well as what support and help they can expect from our scheme.”

Lloydspharmacy has over 1,650 pharmacies across the UK and employs over 17,000 staff.
