Lidl hires Michelin starred chef Kevin Love

Discount supermarket Lidl has hired Kevin Love, the former head chef at Heston Blumenthal’s multi-award winning pub The Hinds Head, as its executive chef.

Love is no stranger to Lidl as he is a former store manager who worked at the Bognor Regis and Chichester branches.

In his new role, he will be the supermarket’s ‘chef in residence’ which will involve sourcing produce, developing new deluxe products and fronting advertising campaigns.

Love said: “Lidl has a great foundation. I’m going to be working closely with buyers, suppliers and producers to see if we can take it to the next level.”
