LEGO Imagination Factory takes to the road
LEGO is taking to the road this summer with its LEGO Imagination Factory experience visiting Centre:MK in Milton Keynes and Westfield London.
Featuring special effects, the space will be packed with LEGO play areas where visitors will be able to “help fuel the power station” with their creative building skills. As children build, the factory will be ‘powered’ and the dim lights will start to become brighter.
Rebecca Snell, head of marketing at LEGO UK, said: “The LEGO Imagination Factory is a fun building hub that presents an engaging experience for young builders. We love to see how diverse young minds are when it comes to creativity, and free building with no creative limits is what this event is all about. We are looking forward to seeing the many different LEGO builds developed by young creative minds.”
There will be a dedicated LEGO DUPLO area for the under-fives, and the outside will feature a LEGO brick graffiti wall for older kids. In addition, there will be an augmented reality photo area where visitors can take a photo with an interactive LEGO Minifigure character.
Kevin Duffy, centre director at Centre:mk, said: “To be the first location in the UK to host the LEGO Imagination Factory is a real coup for Centre:mk. This type of branded experiential activity is increasingly popular with our visitors and we are fortunate to have one of the largest indoor event spaces in the UK, Middleton Hall. This will be one of the largest events of the year in Middleton Hall, especially due to the strong and broad catchment for Centre:mk.”
