Laura Ashley opens its first boutique hotel

Fashion and homewares retailer Laura Ashley has opened its first luxury boutique hotel.

Set in ten acres of woodland and gardens near Elstree in Hertfordshire, the Manor Hotel has been designed to be a showcase for the Laura Ashley design service.

Each of the 49 rooms have been specially themed and individually styled using Laura Ashley products. All of the products are available to buy in-store and online, although some are only available through the retailer’s exclusive Design Service.

In its blog, the company said: “An enchanting retreat, The Manor plays host to 49 rooms all individually designed with the latest Laura Ashley interior collections, including the exclusive Cavendish restaurant and relaxing gardens. Alongside the Laura Ashley furnishings The Manor Hotel encompasses the charming period features of its Tudor style that capture the essence and feeling of the quintessentially English heritage behind Laura Ashley.”

The Manor stands on the site of an old Tudor house which dates back to 1540. The building was bought by Laura Ashley in 2012 from Corus Hotels before being refurbished in the retailer’s distinctive style.
