Laura Ashley chief executive to step down

Laura Ashley’s chief executive Kwan Cheong Ng will step down at the end of April but will remain on the company’s board as a non-executive director.
He will be replaced in the role by Katharine Poulter who is currently chief operating officer of Laura Ashley. She will take up her position on 1 May.
Poulter’s retail experience includes roles at Marks & Spencer, Home Retail Group, Kingfisher, Tesco and Wilko.
