Rebecca Navarednam leaving fashion retailer
Laura Ashley has announced that Rebecca Navarednam, joint chief executive, is leaving the business after little more than a year in the job.
In a brief statement, the fashion and homeware retailer said that she has resigned with effect from January 1.
No reason was given for the departure of Navarednam, who joined Laura Ashley in January 2003, and was appointed as joint chief executive in June 2003.
The statement said: “The board would like to thank Rebecca for her services to the company and wishes her well in her future endeavours.”
Navarednam’s fellow joint chief executive, Ainum Mohd-Said, is understood to be taking on the full role for the time being.
