Latest London 2012 shop opens at Stansted Airport
The latest London 2012 shop has opened at Stansted Airport. This brings the total number of opened shops to five, the others being located at St Pancras International and Paddington stations, John Lewis Oxford Street, and Heathrow Terminal 5.
Further shops set to open this year will be at John Lewis Stratford City and Heathrow Terminal 3.
The shop will sell the full range of London 2010 merchandise including mascot bedding, children’s annuals, soft toys, key rings, books, and jewellery. It will also offer exclusive coins from the Royal Mint and collectables from ‘Hornby’ such as London taxis and buses adorned with the London 2012 artwork
Merchandise for the 2012 London Games is expected to raise £80 million towards the cost of funding the games.
Simon Lilley, LOCOG head of licensing, commented: “This latest shop opening offers an increased opportunity for London 2012 to connect to UK travellers and international visitors, offering them a great chance to take home a piece of the Games. The range of products on offer is huge and the diversity really means there is something for everyone – from pocket-money toys to collectables.”

The London 2012 Shop is located in the departures lounge of the airport.
