Kurt Geiger launches accessories collection and new website

Upmarket footwear brand Kurt Geiger is to launch its first accessories collection as well as a new website and concept store.

The new accessories collection is called ‘Everything but the Dress,’ and will feature a wide range of products from handbags and purses to hairpins and jewelled rings.

The collection will launch exclusively on the retailer’s new  website as well as in its new 1,000 sq ft  concept store in London’s Grafton Street. The store was designed by creative director Rebecca Farrar-Hockley and features a luxurious interior with rotating chandeliers. The collection will be rolled out to other Kurt Geiger stores in September.

Kurt Geiger is reported to have invested up to £5 million on Everything but the Dress, including the new store concept, and has upped its advertising spend to £3 million to boost the campaign. It is said to be aiming to generate 20% of its turnover from accessories.

This new offering follows Kurt Geiger’s acquisition by The Jones Group Inc., for £215 million ealier this year.
