Krispy Kreme opens stand-alone London store
Enfield site for US doughnut brand
With suitable fanfare, London’s second Krispy Kreme doughnut outlet has opened at Enfield.
The north London store is the first stand-alone outlet for the joint venture set up to bring the iconic brand to the UK, building in the success of the concession opened in Harrods last October.
Krispy Kreme goody bags including t-shirts, as well as a draw offering the chance to win a trip to the North Carolina home of Krispy Kreme were a feature of the opening day, as the theatre of doughnut making came to north London.

There is also a prominent Hot Doughnuts Now neon sign.
Don Henshall, managing director of Krispy Kreme UK, said: “We’re thrilled to open in Enfield and are anticipating a great day with our new neighbours to celebrate our first British stand-alone store.
“In addition to the local community, we’re expecting to see a few familiar faces from our Harrods opening camping outside to be among the first to try one of the very first Hot Original Glazed coming down the line.”
Krispy Kreme plans a further 23 stores over the next five years in the UK and Ireland.
