Kikki.K chooses Guildford for third standalone store
Swedish designer stationery brand Kikki.K has chosen Guildford High Street as the location for its third standalone store.
The retailer, which currently trades from boutiques in Covent Garden and Birmingham and in a quartet of concessions at Fortnum and Mason and Selfridges, has taken a 1,469 square foot shop. The store was recently vacated by Pandora which has relocated to larger premises inside The Friary, Guildford.
The letting is one of four secured by M&G Real Estate in Guildford in the past month. KFC and Subway have taken adjacent restaurants at the heart of the top floor food court while Krispy Kreme has opened a new kiosk.
Scott Linard, director of asset management & leasing for M&G Real Estate, said: “Over recent years, we have seen a marked shift in the tenant line-up at The Friary as we have worked to deliver an improved mix of brands that better align with the catchment of this popular and busy town.
“Kikki.K’s move to Guildford – for their third standalone UK store – is evidence of the town’s growing appeal for new national and international retail brands; something we anticipate will continue to grow as the town reinforces its position as the leading shopping and dining destination in the area.”
The lettings are the latest in a continued run of new openings in Guildford which include Zara Home, Levi and Pandora at The Friary. Other brands at the shopping centre include the likes of Zara, Superdry, River Island, Topshop and Urban Outfitters.
