Kiddies Kingdom to open new warehouse following record sales
Online baby and nursery retailer Kiddies Kingdom is to open a new distribution warehouse in Dewsbury after achieving its best sales period to date.
Spanning 47,864 square feet, the unit will be the company’s biggest warehouse and will enable the retailer to consolidate its seven other warehouses into one space. The facility will feature a state-of-the-art racking system and intelligent stock movement technology.
Kiddies Kingdom has seen record sales in the past 12 months with growth of 40%.
Mohammed Patel, managing director of Kiddies Kingdom, said: “Expanding our warehouse space is a crucial step in our growth strategy, so we can continue to support new and expectant parents at a time when they need us the most.
“We have seen an influx of customers shopping online for their baby essentials and expanding our warehouse space will have a massive impact on the speed and efficiency of our operation.”
The warehouse is expected be fully operational by January 2021.
