Kiddicare and Morrisons appoint new chief marketing officer

Alison Lancaster, the former cross channel director at White Stuff, is to join Kiddicare and Morrisons as marketing and merchandising director for online and non-food.

Reporting directly to Scott Weavers-Wright, Kiddicare chief executive and Morrisons managing director of online general merchandise, Lancaster  will head up the marketing and merchandising divisions. Her first tasks will include developing Kiddicare’s national and international brand awareness and launching Morrisons’ new online offering.

Commenting on the appointment Weavers-Wright  said: “I’m delighted to announce Alison Lancaster as the marketing and merchandising director for online and non-food for Kiddicare.com and Morrisons.com. She brings a depth of talent, experience and understanding of the etail market place which will drive the Kiddicare.com brand forwards and bring Morrisons online to ecommerce market with a bang.”

Lancaster said of her new role: “The role of marketing and merchandising director for online and non-food at Kiddicare.com and Morrisons.com is a fantastic opportunity to draw on my previous retail and etail experience to develop the offering of two unique brands. I’m looking forward to tackling the challenges ahead as part of an ambitious and innovative team.”

Prior to White Stuff, Lancaster worked on the launch of John Lewis.com and Debenhams.com and has also held marketing director roles at Harrods and Charles Tyrwhitt.
