Kevin Widdrington re-joins Costcutter Supermarket Group
Costcutter Supermarket Group has confirmed that its former IT director Kevin Widdrington has re-joined the company.
Widdrington has spent the last 12 months away from the group expanding his Costcutter store portfolio but has now returned as the group invests in the further development of its IT offering for its retailers. This includes the creation a new Customer Relationship Management system and a complete re-write of the group’s CPoS system.
Nick Ivel, chief executive of Costcutter Supermarkets Group, said: “Kevin is one of the top IT professionals in the retail industry and brings a wealth of experience to Costcutter Supermarkets Group. We didn’t want him to leave 12 months ago so I am delighted that he is ready to focus on further enhancing our IT offer to retailers, ensuring we stay at the forefront of technology within the convenience retail sector.”
Widdrington added: “Costcutter Supermarkets Group has always prided itself on providing retailers with the very latest technology to assist them as they develop their businesses and their profits. This continues to be a key objective and is something that I will deliver to all of our retailers across the UK.
“I left the business in 2011 with the clear objective of dedicating 12 months to growing my store portfolio. I now have a solid management team across my stores, which gives me the opportunity focus on the IT agenda for Costcutter Supermarkets Group.”
