Luxury group Kering has appointed Cédric Charbit as chief executive of its Balenciaga fashion house.
Charbit has been executive vice-president of product and marketing at Kering’s Yves Saint Laurent fashion house since May 2016, after first joining the business in 2012. He has also held various senior positions in the luxury sector over the last sixteen years.
In his new role, Charbit will report directly to François-Henri Pinault, chairman and chief executive of Kering, and will support the development of Balenciaga and accelerate its international growth.
