JYSK expands into Greece
JYSK, the Scandinavian furniture giant, is to enter its 38th country by opening its first store in Greece this week.
Due to open on 24 September, the new store will be situated in the Greek capital of Athens.
“Greece has enormous potential, and I see great opportunities in the country. JYSK’s quality products and great prices are sure to satisfy the needs of Greek shoppers,” said JYSK owner Lars Larsen.
The opening means that JYSK will now operate 2,275 stores in 38 countries.
The launch of the Athens store will be followed by openings in Larissa in mid-October, Thessaloniki at the end of October and Elliniko in Athens at the end of November.
Having launched iin Denmark in 1979, the retailer goes by the name of of Dänisches Bettenlager in Germany and Austria and is known as JYSK in the rest of the world
