Joules celebrates biggest retail week in company’s history

Lifestyle brand Joules will this week celebrate its biggest ever retail week since it was founded 25 years ago.

The landmark week includes the first full week of trading for Joules’ 100th store which has opened in Dublin, as well as the opening of a new shop in Sheffield’s Meadowhall and the launch of a larger store in Harrogate.

Joules said the openings form part of its national retail growth plan that also encompasses its ecommerce channel and wholesale business.

The milestone openings follow Joules’ 2014/15 financial results which show that total revenue grew by 22% to £117 million with EBITDA rising by 18% to £10.7 million. In the UK revenue increased by 17.5% across the brand’s retail, online and wholesale business.

Andrea Gray, retail director at Joules, said: “We’re really excited to announce the opening of our two new stores in both Sheffield and Harrogate this week. The openings are down to our record performance and another period exceptional growth for the brand.

“Following the success of our 100th store in the Republic Ireland, our aim is to continue to develop as a lifestyle brand, with the mission to create fun, quality products which stand the test of time, and to continuously deliver what our customers love.”
