John Lewis to roll out more Rossopomodoro and Joe & the Juice restaurants
John Lewis is to expand its in-store restaurant offering by developing further partnerships with Joe & The Juice and Rossopomodoro in its shops across the UK.
The move will see ten additional restaurants launched in John Lewis shops within the next year. As well as permanent sites, the two brands will have pop-up outlets at John Lewis’s Summer Retreat on the rooftop of its flagship store in London’s Oxford Street.
The new outlets follow the introduction of a Joe & The Juice café in John Lewis Solihull and the opening of Ham Holy Burger and Rossopomodoro restaurants in John Lewis Oxford Street.
Newcastle will be the first shop to open one of the new sites for both Joe & The Juice and Rossopomodoro. Further Joe & The Juice outlets are scheduled to open in Bluewater and Watford as well as in John Lewis’s new shop in Birmingham. Meanwhile, a further Rossopomodoro restaurant will open in Kingston, with further sites to be announced.
Alison Smith, head of food service at John Lewis, said: “We’re delighted that we have been able to expand on our successful relationships with both Rossopomodoro and Joe & The Juice. Customers have welcomed the introduction of new and exciting places for them to refresh and refuel, and continuing our partnership with them will allow us to offer another compelling reason for customers to shop with us.”
Founded in Copenhagen, Joe & the Juice opened its first UK outlet in 2009 and now has five cafés in London, in addition to the café in John Lewis Solihull.
Italian pizza restaurant Rossopomodoro has over 70 branches in Italy and now has six restaurants in London, including the site in John Lewis Oxford Street.
