John Lewis to open Heathrow store
John Lewis is making its first move into airports by opening a new store at Heathrow Airport.
The retailer is investing over £1 million in the 3,600 sq ft store which will open in June 2014 in Heathrow’s new Terminal 2.
John Lewis said the shop will combine the “best of home, fashion, gifting and seasonal ranges” and is part of its strategy to grow its international customer base.
The new Terminal 2, to be known as ‘Terminal 2 : The Queen’s Terminal’, is the latest phase of the five year, £11 billion transformation of Heathrow. John Lewis Heathrow will be situated on the top floor of the departure lounge. The new store will create around 40 jobs.

This opportunity at Heathrow perfectly complements and enhances these initiatives.”
