John Lewis Partnership appoints interim executive director for finance

The John Lewis Partnership has announced that Andy Mounsey will become its interim executive director for finance on 6 September.

Currently the partnership’s group finance and strategy director, he has worked with the business for 12 years in a range of senior finance roles.

The news follows an announcement back in April that the current executive finance director, Bérangère Michel, has decided to leave the business after 16 years.

While Mounsey will join the partnership’s executive team on 1 July to facilitate a smooth handover, he will officially succeed Michel on 6 September when she steps down.

Nish Kankiwala, the partnership’s chief executive officer, said: “Andy is a highly experienced and valued member of our finance team, with a deep understanding of the partnership and the retail sector. I am delighted that Andy is able to support the partnership during this interim phase to ensure a smooth transition and our continued focus on executing against our transformation plan.”

The John Lewis Partnership said the process to recruit a permanent successor to Michel is currently underway.
